The government lied, major news corporations aren't telling the entire story, our education system is failing, the economy is on its way to oblivion, the entire capitalist system was at first slowly but now more rapidly than ever proving to be a sham, and people are dying and going to die.

Our entire civilization and the only reason that our planet has sustained the amount of human life that it has, is because of oil and fossil fuels.  Toothbrushes, tires, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, cars, soap, fertilizers, footballs, clothes, batteries, CD's and DVD's, CD's and DVD players, toothpaste, nylon rope, shampoo, guitar strings, golf balls, gasoline.  All of these things and many others are made from, or made with, petroleum.  The planet has passed the point of peak oil, meaning we are running out.  The gasoline industry has already reached the "bumpy plateau."  Oil production declines creating a rise in gas prices, less gas is purchased, prices lower again, the demand for gas increasing again, prices rise, prices decline.  This cycle continues until gas has reached a point that it becomes affordable only for the incredibly wealthy.

Every aspect of our civilization is effected by oil, and we are rapidly consuming that precious liquid.
